SmartGuardian charges are split across a monthly rental fee and a one-off installation, calibration and training charge.

Installations can include one room, a bathroom for example, or a whole home. However, typical installations involve 1 to 5 Zones - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and hallway - and take either a morning or afternoon to install.

The monthly rental charge is €119 per address, irrespective of the number of rooms covered. There are no contracts or minimum penalty periods - simply a rolling one month subscription which can be stopped at any time. As an example, the one-off installation charge for 1 and 5 Zone installations is typically €600 to €1,500 respectively. Note this also includes the professional removal of the system when no longer required. All include VAT.

The monthly fee works out at €4 per day, or 1/50th the average cost of an Irish care home. The one-off installation charge is equivalent to less than one week in a care home.

SmartGuardian sensors require Wifi and power. Power sources are typically hardwired so they cannot be unplugged. If either WiFi or power is interrupted an alert is sent.

SmartGuardian is accessed via smartphones with our complemenatary proprietary app. Multiple users can access the app and receive alerts.

As needs evolve, our service also evolves to include complementary reprogramming of the system, for example to alert if motion is detected in defined zones like front door etc.

SmartGuardian is not a medical device and requires stable WiFi and power. Though vastly more reliable than wearable alarms, both false negatives and postives may occur.
